L'eau de Vie! Une Poire... A Pear in a Bottle

So...how do you get this PEAR

into this BOTTLE??
la bouteille de l'eau de vie!
This "water of life" is...
Very strong! Very good!
Best to drink as a"digestive"
at the end of a meal.

I asked the Moris family... how do you
get that PEAR in the bottle?????
All the farmers know this secret.........
They put the bottle on the tree branch
over the pear blossom.
Voila! et Santé! (Cheers!)

Bienvenue! ...another favorite door -- Vannes, France

BIENVENUE... Come on in :-)

Another favorite... Every door has it's own family,
it's own personality, it's own welcome.

I love the little green bird house.

The people in the villages are
so welcoming...

J'adore l'apéritif ...
I LOVE the social time of "apéritif"
served before a meal to stimulate the appetite
and enjoy visiting together.
Very relaxing and just plain fun!
Family and friends taking time
to just enjoy each other.

The apéritif is usually a glass of Kir [my favorite!]
(dry white wine with Cassis--blackcurrant liquor)
or a ricard, champagne, porto, or light white wine.
Served with "amuse-bouche" which is chips,
mixed nuts, pretzels, crackers, paté, olives, etc.

DOORWAYS into FRANCE

J'adore... cette porte bleu!

I had to snap this picture.

...small beautiful
village in
Northern France.

This DOORWAY
led us to a walk
through a
beautiful garden.
We had soup
the top in
a small pub
with 6 tables.
It was packed.
